Two more board members of AMRI Hospitals Ltd, Dr Mani Chhetri and Dr Pranab Dasgupta, were arrested and produced in court on Friday in connection with the fire that broke out in the hospital’s premises in Dhakuria.
Ms Damayanti Sen, Joint Commissioner of Police, confirmed that both the board members have been arrested and produced in court.
With this, 13 people have so far been arrested in connection with the December 9 fire which claimed the lives of over 90 people, mostly patients.
AMRI Hospitals is jointly promoted by RS Goenka-led Emami Group and SK Todi-led Shrachi Group of companies with a minor shareholding of the West Bengal Government.
