Cabinet reshuffle in Meghalaya

The Meghalaya Chief Minister, Mr Mukul Sangma, has reallocated the portfolios of his Cabinet Ministers in a reshuffle in which four of the Congress MLAs revolting against him were dropped.

Among the three newly inducted Ministers, Mr A.L. Hek, got general administration, IT and water resources, while Mr Shitlang Pale was allotted public health and education, civil defence and home guards, officials said today.

First-timer and the youngest in the Ministry, Mr Saleng Sangma, has been allocated community and rural development and PWD (Building) departments.
