Under-recovery increases on kerosene, falls for LPG

The under-recovery or loss incurred by public sector oil marketing companies for selling sensitive products at less-than-market rates increased for PDS kerosene and decreased for domestic LPG as on March 1. 

For kerosene, under-recovery increased to Rs 16.19 a litre from Rs 13.32 on February 1. This is an increase of nearly 21.5 per cent. 

Meanwhile, under-recovery on domestic LPG dropped 11.2 per cent to Rs 143.68 a cylinder from Rs 161.81 a cylinder on February 1. 

“The under-recoveries from April to December 2014-15 have been Rs 67,091 crore. The figure was Rs 1,39,869 crore for the full year in 2013-14,” an official statement said.
