The CBI questioned former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for about six hours in the land-for-job scam on Tuesday, a day after his wife Rabri Devi, who is alleged to be a benificiary of the case, was grilled.
The CBI is believed to have video-recorded the questioning ofLalu Prasad at Pandara Park in the Capital, said agency sources. As railway minister between 2004 and 2009, he is accused of taking parcels of land in lieu of jobs in the railways. The agency officials are believed to have parted with Holi greetings after squestioning Lalu Prasad, who recently underwent a kidney transplant in Singapore.

After his questioning, his daughter Rohini Acharya took to Twitter to allege that the former Bihar Chief Minister was being “harrassed”. She said she will “not spare anyone” if anything happens to her father. “My father is being constantly harassed. If anything happens to him, I will not spare anyone. It’s not right that my father is being mistreated. It will be remembered. Time is powerful, and has many strengths. This has to be remembered,” Acharya wrote.
Lalu was served a notice by CBI to take his statement for filing a supplementary chargesheet in the land-for-jobs scam.
The CBI questioned Rabri Devi at her Patna residence on Monday over allegations that she was one of the benificiaries of the plot, along with other family members and close relatives. CBI sources said the probing unit has received fresh complaints citing instances of more land that Lalu is alleged to have acquired through this modus operandi. The sleuths are examining the complaint.
The CBI filed the first chargesheet against Prasad and his wife Devi, their daughter Misa Bharti, and 13 others in the scam. last October.
