Bharti Airtel has launched a new range of affordable tariff plans for its 3G services called Smartbytes.

For pre-paid users, the company has kept a rental of Rs 10 that would allow 30 minutes of usage over a day's validity, the company said in a statement. Volume-based browsing rate on 3G is now down from 10p/10kb to 3p/10Kb, it said.

On the higher side, it has a plan of Rs 1,500 for 10GB of usage with a validity of 30 days. The same plan is also available for post-paid customers.

Airtel has also introduced additional data usage packs for its post-paid mobile customers on 3G with the choice of subscribing to incremental 3G data usage packs. They will now be able to continue access to high speed browsing on their mobile devices even after exhausting their monthly data limits.

These are available in a range of predetermined price options that allow 3G customers to choose a plan that suits their needs. For instance, with an additional Rs 80 to their existing plans, they can get the benefit of 200MB, and pay Rs 175 for 500MB.
