R Systems buys UK software co for £9 mn

R Systems International, a provider of outsourced product development, technical and customer support services, on Thursday said it has acquired UK-based Computaris International for £9 million (about Rs 65.25 crore).

R Systems will pay an amount of £9 million, consisting of an initial payment of £4.25 million and the balance amount over two years linked to performance, R Systems said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The acquisition is funded largely from internal accruals, it added.

Computaris International is a software company engaged in the telecom sector and provides billing and real-time rating solutions.

“The acquisition of Computaris is a further step to organise our business along industry verticals and customer focus around key accounts and geographies,” R Systems Chairman Mr Rekhi Singh said. It has operations in the UK, US, Romania, Poland, Moldova, and Malaysia.
