A Delhi court on Thursday sent the former Telecom Minister, Mr A Raja, an accused in the 2G spectrum allocation scam, to Tihar jail here under 14 days' judicial custody.

Noting the CBI's submission that the probe is not yet complete, the Special CBI Judge, Mr O.P. Saini, said: “Accused is remanded to judicial custody till March 3.”

Acting on Mr Raja's application to allow him access to home-cooked food and medicines as well as reading glasses, the court directed the Jail Superintendent to consider the plea according to the prison rules.

After the hearing, Mr Raja told reporters that he will face the case and prove his innocence.
