Ramco Systems, part of the $1-billion Ramco Group, added five companies to its European clientele during the quarter ended December, according to a press statement from the company.
Its Enterprise Resource Planning and Aviation Management suite has been bought by aircraft operators Denmark-based DanCopter; Iceland’s Eagle Air; Ellinair of Greece; Aerogulf Sola Engine Centre in Norway; and the UK-based electrical engineering company Enspec Power.
A company spokesperson declined to disclose the size of business. Ramco introduced its cloud-based aviation software in March 2013. It moved its entire range of offerings to the cloud in 2008. The ERP and aviation maintenance product will help airlines and helicopter operators optimise use of aircraft and save on warranty costs. Compatible with Apple and Android devices, Ramco’s software allows aircraft management through mobile devices.
Virender Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer, Ramco Systems, said in the press statement that the company’s software has found traction among low-cost carriers: “With no licence fee, maintenance cost or additional infrastructure to procure, the cloud model has seen a quick uptake from this segment.”
He added that the time taken to incorporate Ramco’s aviation software is short. Astra Airlines, a low-cost carrier in Greece, took their product live in eight weeks, he said.
