Hiring has become difficult with the success rate of campus recruitments alarmingly low even at the institutes with pedigree, according to Jaideep Ganguly, Director, Software Development, Amazon.

“The entire exercise becomes prohibitively expensive with such outcomes. The problem arises due to colleges focusing on rote learning,” he said, while speaking at Confluence 2016, a seminar organised by TalentSprint here. Pegasystems could create an ecosystem of 27,000 Pega Certified professionals and the aim was to double that number in the next three to four years, said Suman Reddy, MD, Pegasystems.

Santanu Paul, CEO & MD, TalentSprint, said the current teaching method was inflicting on a student, something he was not comfortable with.

KV Vishnu Raju, Chairman, Vishnu Educational Society, said online applications and artificial intelligence will be the way forward in higher eduction.
