Capgemini to create over 1,600 Jobs in Coimbatore with ₹75 crore investment

Capgemini Technology Pvt Ltd will invest ₹75 crore and create 1,621 IT/ITeS services jobs at ELCOT SEZ, Vilankurichi, Coimbatore. This was one of the proposals approved by the Unit Approval Committee of MEPZ SEZ, chaired by its Development Commissioner, Alex Paul Menon.

The committee on Monday approved 16 proposals resulting in approved investments worth ₹138 crore and the generation of 2,110 jobs, according to a release.

Since April 2024, the MEPZ SEZ has facilitated ₹4,546 crore investments, creating 32,726 jobs across SEZs and EOUs in the Tamil Nadu, Andaman & Puducherry regions. The approvals in this meeting further strengthen the SEZ’s contributions to regional economic development and global trade competitiveness, the release said.
