Carnival Cinemas ties up with PayPal

Leading multiplex chain Carnival Cinemas on Wednesday announced a partnership with digital payments platform PayPal to be able to offer its consumers a secure online payments experience.

In a statement, Mohan Umrotkar, CEO, Carnival Cinemas said, “An association like this is a valuable addition to our website and mobile app in bringing the convenience of booking a ticket online with PayPal. The online ticket booking trend is growing rapidly in India among every age group.” He added, “This is also an important step towards enhancing the overall offerings to our customers.”

Carnival Cinemas is now spread across 20 states with over 150 properties and 450 plus screens in the country.

Navin Mistry, Director, PayPal India said, “With partnerships at the core of our strategy, it gives us immense pleasure to announce this association with Carnival Cinemas. PayPal will now offer consumers purchasing tickets or F&B a convenient and secure payments experience, with the added benefit of PayPal’s Buyer Protection program.”
