Engineering and geospatial services company Cyient has invested an undisclosed amount into Cylus, a cyber security company based out of Israel.

“It is focussed on developing cyber security solutions for the rail industry. This investment is in line with our focus on developing smarter and safer mobility solutions for the industry,” said Prabhakar Atla, Senior Vice-President (Rail Transportation) of Cyient.

Cylus developed CylusOne, which is designed for mainline and urban rail systems and detects cyber threats in signalling and control networks.

“This investment would help the two firms to jointly address market needs, and accelerate the development of cyber security solutions for the rail sector,” he said.
