Workers of Foxconn gathered outside the company campus to protest against the closure of the facility located inside the Nokia SEZ at Sriperumbudur.
The police were trying to sort out the problem by talking to the union and management.
Foxconn, the Taiwan-based contract manufacturer of mobile phone parts, will suspend operations at its facility near Chennai from December 24, following a change in manufacturing requirements of clients in the country.
