Hewlett-Packard (HP) introduced its PageWide XL range of printers in India with the launch of the ‘PageWide XL 8000’ here on Wednesday.
The printers, the company said, offer the fastest large format production printing available in both colour and black and white.
“Our large-format printing customers are continually exploring ways to improve productivity, streamline workflow and reduce costs…the printers announced today deliver what our customers have been seeking for years and will revolutionise the production printing market,” said Devang Karia, Country Manager, Large Format Design, HP India. According to HP, the PageWide XL printers print 60 per cent faster than the fastest monochrome light-emitting diode (LED) printers.
They will enable reprographic houses, print service providers, enterprise central reprographic departments and print corners to produce computer-aided design (CAD) drawings.
The portfolio includes the ‘XL 8000’, ‘XL 8000’ and ‘5000’ ‘Blueprinters’ (which deliver pages on translucent prints and superior quality blueprints), and XL 5000 and 4000 multi-function printers.
While the 8000 series is available in India, the others will be introduced between November and February 2016.
