Mid-tier IT company MindTree has partnered with Netbiscuits, a cloud platform, for the delivery of web apps across mobile devices. MindTree, in partnership with Netbiscuits, will now be able to use mobiles as an engagement channel with customers, according to a press statement.

Netbiscuits technology helps brands maximise the mobile opportunity by removing the complexity of programming for many devices, enhancing development resources and reducing the amount of time and money it takes to execute a mobile strategy, the statement said.

“The growing adoption of smartphones across the world is turning mobile web into everyone's window to the Internet,” said Mr Balaji Krishnan, Vice-President, Mobile Technology Solutions, MindTree. To reach consumers across the globe via mobile, brands need technology solutions that deliver a reliable and consistent web user experience over a variety of devices, he added.

According to the statement, the number of adult mobile phone owners who access the mobile web rose from 4 per cent in 2007 to 33 per cent in 2011.
