Breaking your head to transfer that big movie file to another phone? Forget Bluetooth or wi-fi, here comes Hotknot, a software solution developed by a Shanghai-based firm.

Claimed to be a first in India, mobile phone manufacturer Celkon Mobiles has introduced this feature in its first octacore phone. “You just tap the two phones and you can transfer a very big file, say a 700 MB movie, in a few seconds,” Murali Retineni, Executive Director of Celkon Mobiles, has said. All the new smart phones to be introduced by Celkon will have this feature. “You need to have this technology in the target phone too,” he said.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday after launching the phone, he said the Octa510 phone comes with an Intelligent WakeUp facility that lets users quickly activate the phone or to go to Facebook or the camera app by writing ‘f’ or ‘c’ on the screen.

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, Celkon’s brand ambassador, launched the phone. Priced at ₹8,999 a piece, this phone has 2,000 mAh battery and allows you take a selfie with a gesture.
