Xiaomi launches Mi 4i at Rs 12,999; Mi Band coming to India soon

Xiaomi has launched its much awaited Mi 4i in the Capital today.

The Mi 4i is Xiaomi's first big product launch outside China.

Priced at Rs 12,999, the Mi 4i will be available on Flipkart from April 30.

The phone comes with a 5-inch display and will be available in 5 colours -- black, white, orange, light blue and pink.

The Mi 4i is 12 per cent thinner than the Mi4.

The Mi 4i is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 130 grams with a 3120 mAh battery. The 4.4V battery has the highest energy density platform and one charge can last up to one-and-a-half days. It supports quick charge. Allows you to charge 40 per cent in 10 minutes.

Mi 4i features a 1080p display.

Launching the phone, Hugo Barra, VP, Xiaomi Global, said the phone has a fully laminated OGS, comes with sunlight display that enhances images. It is 30 per cent more power efficient, he said.

The Mi 4i has a flat to the surface 13 MP camera and has a two tone flash feature. It has a 5 Mp front camera. The phone has a special 'beautify' feature for selfies.

The phone ships with 8 core 64 bit Snapdragon 615 second gen processor.

The Mi 4i comes with 16 GB memory and 2 GB RAM.

The phone sports a new feature called visual IVR.

Dual SIM card slots support 2G, 3G and 4G.

The device launches with the Android Lollipop operating system.

Mi Band coming soon

Hugo Barra said that the Mi Band is coming to India soon. The Mi Band will be priced at Rs 999.
