Pi Datacenters gets HIPAA tag

Pi Datacenters, an upcoming datacentre coming up near Vijayawada, has received the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) Compliance certificate. This will allow the firm to tie up with global healthcare and pharma firms, assuring them that Pi’s enterprise cloud and datacentre services are safe for their data.

“HIPAA sets the standard for protecting sensitive patient data. It is the US legislation that provides data privacy and security provisions for safeguarding medical information and any firm that deals with protected health information must ensure that all the required physical, network, and process security measures are in place and followed,” the firm said in a statement Monday.
