RCom, RJio get govt nod for sharing of spectrum in 9 circles

Reliance Communications (RCom) and Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL) have received the government approval for sharing of spectrum across nine circles. The move will allow the companies to offer 4G services on 10 MHz block in the 800 Mhz band.

RCom has got the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) approval to share 800 Mhz band across seven circles and its subsidiary Reliance Telecom’s (RTL) spectrum across two circles, RCom said in a regulatory filing.

RCom and RTL can now share spectrum with RJIL across Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh (East), Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Orrisa, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and North East.
