Renesas Electronics Corporation, a provider of semiconductor solutions, has licensed the ARM Cortex-A7 MPCore and ARM Cortex-A15 MPCore processors.
The company said that these processors will enable it to create a new generation of application processors and communication processors.
Mr Shinichi Yoshioka, Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, Renesas, said: “The market demands ever-increasing performance in low power devices and our skills lie in systems design, integration and optimisation of long-term evolution multi-mode cellular System-on-Chips.”
