Ricoh to strengthen sales team, expand channel network

IT peripheral company Ricoh India will hire around 100 people to strengthen its sales team in the country.

“We plan to hire 100 sales consultant in this financial year. This will be mid–level hiring and we are looking for people with more than three years experience in this domain,” Mr AT Rajan, Associate Vice-President (Marketing), Ricoh, said.

The company today unveiled three new models of Laser printers, including A4 multi—function printers (MFP) viz SP 1210N, SP 1200SF and SP 1200S.

“In some specific models in mid and high-end printers from our existing models, Ricoh is offering guaranteed print cost, a unique maintenance option by which the customer pays a fixed charge for each print and copy, irrespective the coverage area,” Mr Tetsuya Takano, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ricoh India, said.

SP 1210N is a single function network Laser Printer priced at Rs 9,900. SP1200S functions as a printer, scanner and copier with a standard automatic document feeder (ADF), and had been priced at Rs 11,000.

Channel partners

The third model SP1200SF launched today by company is a A4 MFP that prints, scans, copies and faxes A4 size documents and is priced at Rs 17,000.

Mr Takano said that Ricoh India will add 200 more channel partners to enhance its reach among various industry verticals in the country.

At present, Ricoh India has tie-ups with 300 channel partners and 800 employees in the country.
