Celebrities and politicians from Tamil Nadu are following their counterparts in the North and West to use the social media Twitter to reach out to people.

The founder and editor of the Tamil magazine, Thuglak , in his first tweet said: “with God's blessings joined twitter officially.”
His next tweet was a picture of actor Rajanikanth attending a wedding in Ramaswamy's family.
