Udupi firm develops mobile games for Dhoom franchise

A mobile game developer in Udupi from coastal Karnataka will develop the games for the upcoming Aamir Khan and Abhishek Bachchan starrer Bollywood movie 'Dhoom 3'.

The Uudpi-based 99Games Online will develop and publish mobile games based on Dhoom film franchise.

Rohith Bhat, Chief Executive Officer of 99Games Online, told

Business Line that his company will be developing and marketing games around Dhoom titles over the next several years. This includes games around movies already released till date - Dhoom 1 and 2 – and the upcoming title Dhoom 3.

Yash Raj Films Licensing and 99Games Online have entered into an agreement in this regard.

Asked about the duration of the agreement, Bhat said that his company is not making public the duration of the agreement at the moment.

Yash Raj Films Licensing is a division of the Dhoom series producer Yash Raj Films, and 99Games Online is a fully-owned subsidiary of the Udupi-based Robosoft Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Founded in 1996, Robosoft builds applications for iOS, Android and Windows platforms. It has two subsidiaries – Global Delight and 99Games Online. While Robosoft creates apps for its clients, Global Delight and 99Games Online create the company’s own apps and games, respectively.
