Barring masoor, chana and tur, pulses and pulse seeds ruled steady on Tuesday. Masoor perked up by Rs 25 at Rs 2,950-2,975 a quintal on improved queries.
Masoor (medium) also gained Rs 25-50 at Rs 2,650-2,675 a quintal. Masoor dal ruled firm with masoor dal (bold) being quoted at Rs 3,525-3,550, masoor dal (medium) at Rs 3425-3,450 and masoor dal (average) quoted at Rs 3,300-3,325 a quintal.
Chana (
Slack demand also dragged tur by Rs 25. In the spot market, tur (Maharashtra) sold at Rs 3,200-3,225 and tur (Nimari) at Rs 2,500-2,600 a quintal. Tur dal, which gained Rs 100 on Monday on improved buying, remained firm with tur (marka) being quoted at Rs 6,150-6,200, tur dal (full) at Rs 5,600-5,650 and tur dal (
Moong, urad and its dal also ruled firm on subdued demand. In the spot market, moong (bold) quoted at Rs 4,200-4,500 and moong (medium) at Rs 3,800-4,000. Moong dal also ruled steady with moong (monger) being quoted at Rs 5,850-5,900, moong dal (bold) at Rs 5,550-5,600 and moong dal (average) quoted at Rs 5,200-5,250.
Urad sold at Rs 4,200-4,500 and urad (medium) at Rs 3,800-4,000. On the other hand, urad (monger) quoted at Rs 6,800-7,000 a quintal.
