Jeera futures declined on the back of lower buying interest by traderss followed by huge carryover stock. On the other side, spot price was steady on export demand. Spot traders said that export demand is good which supported market.
“We are expecting some fresh domestic demand during festival season but price may not go up as stock is huge,” they said. At Unjha mandi of Gujarat, arrival of jeera was 8,000-9,000 bags and went for ₹1,850-2,150 for a maund of 20 kg. About 800 bags arrived in Rajkot and were at ₹1,700-1,900.
