Cooking oils slip in thin trade

Edible oils ruled weak on Monday on lack of demand and volume amid absence of overseas trading. In Mumbai, local refineries opened their rates steady but there were no buyers. Liberty traded palmolein ex Shapur at ₹635 and super palmolein at ₹655. Allana’s rates: palmolein ex Khapoli ₹635, soya refined oil ₹711 and sunflower refined oil ₹716. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was ₹1,460 and loose (10 kg) was at ₹920. In Mumbai, nominal spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 935, soya ref. 700, sunflower exp. ref. 655, sunflower ref. 705, rapeseed ref. 800, rapeseed exp. ref. 770, cottonseed ref. 688 and palmolein 612.
