Erode turmeric markets witnessed brisk sales on Monday.
At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Salesyard, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,429 to ₹6,369 a quintal and root variety at ₹4,689 to ₹5,809. Of the arrival of 1,107 bags of turmeric, 365 bags were sold.
At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,429 to ₹6,564 and root variety at ₹4,719 to ₹5,912. Of 438 bags placed for sale, 416 were sold.
At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,670 to ₹6,569 and root variety at ₹5,209 to ₹5,885. Out of 594 bags kept for sale, 519 were sold.
