Edible oils slip on slack demand

Barring imported palmolein that rose by ₹5/10 kg on tight supply, all other edible oils declined on Friday on eased demand amid thin volatility in futures. Local refineries kept their rates unchanged.

Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹633, super palmolein ₹659 and soyabean refined oil ₹670. Allana’s rate: palmolein ₹635, soya refined oil ₹655 and sunflower refined oil ₹730.

At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was flat at ₹2,110 (2,110) and loose (10 kg) dropped by ₹10 to ₹1,350. BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 1,400 (1,420), soya ref. 655 (661), sunflower exp. ref. 660 (665), sunflower ref. 720 (725), rapeseed ref. 920 (920), rapeseed exp. ref. 890 (890), cottonseed ref. 715 (720) and palmolein 625 (620).
