Green pepper fetches good price

Some of the growers were selling immature green pepper at ₹150-160 a kg as it is said to be a lucrative business for them. Meanwhile, strong domestic demand has pushed up spot prices on Thursday. On the terminal market, 18 tonneswere traded today at ₹450/kg. Spot prices moved up further by ₹500 a quintal to ₹43,400 (ungarbled) and ₹45,400 (garbled). Export prices are at $7,600 a tonne c&f for Europe and $7,850 for the US.
