No trading activities were seen on the terminal market on Thursday following a dawn to dusk hartal called by a political party. Hence the spot prices of pepper remained unchanged at ₹68,100 (ungarbled) and ₹71,100 (garbled) a quintal.
October contract on the IPSTA remained steady at ₹72,000 a tonne while November and December dropped by ₹1,000 a quintal to ₹65,000 and ₹62,000 respectively. Export prices were at $10,950 a tonne c&f for Europe and $11,200 for the US.
