Quality turmeric improves

Good quality turmeric prices were increased. 3,800 bagsarrived for sale including 80 bags of good quality turmeric. The entire good quality turmeric price was increased by ₹100 a quintal said RKV Ravishankar, President, Erode Turmeric Merchants Association. He said usually during this time some new ‘Number eight’ variety turmeric may arrive for sale. But now no such new crop was arrived for sale. Rajamanickkam another trader said that they are expecting fresh crop like Mysore variety may arrive after pongal.
