Rubber continues to rule weak

Spot rubber continued to rule weak on Friday. Declines in the international markets and the absence of local buyers continued to keep the sentiments under pressure during the day.

RSS 4 fell to ₹111 from ₹112 and ₹111.50 a kg, respectively according to traders and the Rubber board. The grade dropped to ₹108 (₹109) according to dealers. November futures concluded at ₹108.50 (₹108.69), December at ₹108.85 (₹108.67), January at ₹108.50 (₹108.59) and February at ₹109 (₹109.16) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.

RSS 3 (spot) closed weak to ₹80.18 (₹80.60) at Bangkok. November futures closed at ¥132.6 (₹71.55) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates ₹/ kg were: RSS-4: 111 (112); RSS-5: 109 (110); Ungraded: 100 (102); ISNR 20: 94 (96) and Latex (60% drc): 84 (85).
