Spot turmeric declines

The price of the spot turmeric on Thursday decreased. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Sales yard, the finger turmeric sold at ₹6,800 to 8,650 a quintal, the root variety sold at ₹6,536 to 8,200 a quintal. At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric fetched ₹7,389 to 8,650 a quintal. The root variety sold at ₹7,109 to 8,314 quintal. At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, finger turmeric sold at ₹7,503 to 8,699 a quintal, root variety sold at ₹7,155 to 8,369 a quintal.
