Strong buying in green pepper

Nearly 1,000 tonnes of immature green pepper found takers in brine manufacturers who were buying at ₹165-170 a kg, trade sources told BusinessLine . Spot prices were down by ₹200 a quintal to ₹67,800 (ungarbled) and ₹70,800 (garbled). On the IPSTA, January and March contracts remained steady at ₹66,000 and ₹59,000 a quintal respectively, while February moved up by ₹1,000 to ₹63,000. Export prices were at $10,900 a tonne c&f for Europe and $11,150 for the US.
