Turmeric ruled steady and over 65 per cent of arrivals were sold in Erode markets on Wednesday.
At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Salesyard, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,359-6,369 a quintal and root variety at ₹4,895-5,777. Of 1,415 bags of turmeric kept for sale, 395 bags were sold.
At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,399-6,629 and root variety at ₹4,899-5,900. Of 686 bags placed for sale, 477 bags were sold.
At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,299-6,469 and root variety at ₹5,199-5,569. Of the arrival of 795 bags, 782 were sold.
