The arrival of turmeric increases and also the sales increased.
At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Sales yard, finger turmeric sold at ₹6,089 to 8,889 a quintal. The root variety sold at ₹5,255 to 7,981 a quintal. Of the arrival of 1,655 bags 734 bags were sold. At the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric sold at 7,389 to 8,511 a quintal. The root variety sold at ₹7,269 to 8,177 a quintal. Out of 896 bags placed for sale, 777 bags were sold.
At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, finger turmeric sold at ₹7,103 to 8,551 a quintal, root variety sold at ₹6,750 to 8,103 a quintal. Out of 899 bags of turmeric 874 bags were sold.
