Funds mobilisation via corporate bonds up 39%

Funds mobilisation through corporate bonds on private placement basis saw a 39 per cent growth in 2012-13.

According to Prime Database, Rs 3,51,848 crore was collected through this route compared with the preceding year’s mobilisation of Rs 2,52,564 crore.

According to data compiled by Prime Database, 2010-11 and 2011-12 had witnessed mobilisation worth Rs 1,92,225 crore and Rs 2,52,564 crore, respectively.

According to Pranav Haldea, Prime’s Director, mobilisation by private sector saw an increase of 93 per cent to Rs 1,13,737 crore (Rs 59,062 crore).

Financial institutions and banks mobilised Rs 1,84,582 crore, 52 per cent of the total amount. This figure represented a growth of 15 per cent.
