Gold futures down at Rs 29,680 per 10 gm

Market analysts attributed the fall in gold futures to profit-booking by speculators on sluggish demand in the spot market.

Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 29,680 per 10 grams on Monday against the previous close of Rs 29,693.

It made a high of Rs 29,680 and low of Rs 29,542. It was trading down 0.45 per cent at Rs 29,558 at 3.10 p.m.

In Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was down by $2 at $1,604 a troy ounce at 3.10 p.m.
