Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 30,028 per 10 grams on Wednesday against the previous close of Rs 30,052.
April contract made a high of Rs 30,040 and low of Rs 29,994. It was trading down 0.22 per cent at Rs 29,986 at 1.36 p.m.
In Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was up by $2 at $1,606 a troy ounce at 1.36 p.m. Spot gold on Comex was down by $3 at $1,601.
