GAIL spurts nearly 5% on NSE

Buoyed by strong Q1 numbers announced yesterday, the Tata Motors stock made further gains on the bourses on Tuesday. However it came off its morning highs in late trading. At 2.40 pm it led the pack on the NSE with gains of 5.41 per cent. The stock was quoting at ₹470.70 as against its overnight finish at ₹446.55.

On Monday the company announced that it had posted a three-fold increase in Q1 net profit at ₹5,398 cr.

GAIL (India) made further ground to hold gains of 4.64 per cent at ₹408.50. The stock finished Monday’s session at ₹390.40.

HDFC built gains of 4.31 per cent to trade at ₹1,109. The stock had ended the overnight session at ₹1,063.20.

Sun Pharma Industries edged up further to hold gains of 2.42 per cent at ₹783. The stock had ended Monday’s session at ₹764.50.

ONGC was trading at ₹403, up 2.36 per cent on its previous close at ₹393.70.
