WS Industries board nod to financial year extension

The board of directors of WS Industries (India) Ltd has approved extension of the financial year by another three months. Accordingly, the financial year will now end on March 31, 2015. The company has also received approval from the Registrar of Companies, Chennai, for the extension. Earlier the company’s board had approved the extension of the financial year till December 2014, making it 15 months from October 1, 2013. However, to align the financial year with April-March according to Companies Act, 2013, the company has proposed to extend the current financial year till March 2015, which will cover a period of 18 months commencing from October 1, 2013.
