Axis Bank up over 3% on BSE

Axis Bank surged 3.30 per cent to lead the pack on the BSE at the close of trading on Wednesday. The share ended the day at Rs 552.90 as against its overnight close at Rs 535.25.

GAIL (India) moved up further to trade at Rs 366.05. This was a 2.01 per cent gain on its previous close at Rs 358.85.

Wipro edged down by the close to trade at Rs 541.50. This represented a gain of 1.89 per cent on its Tuesday close at Rs 531.45.

Sun Pharma rose 1.61 per cent to trade at Rs 939.25. The share had ended Tuesday’s session at Rs 924.35.

ICICI Bank, the top gainer in yesterday’s session, came off its morning highs to trade at Rs 330.15. This was down 1.07 per cent on yesterday’s close at Rs 326.65.
