Central Bank of India's March-quarter loss widened to Rs 2,114 crore ($311.5 million), its ninth straight quarterly loss

Central Bank of India shares hit lowest in over 2 years as quarterly loss widened. The lender’s shares fell as much as 6.4 per cent to Rs 62, lowest since March 2016. The stock posted its biggest daily percentage loss since March 27.

The lender’s March-quarter loss widened to Rs 2,114 crore ($311.5 million), its ninth straight quarterly loss. Provisions for bad loans more than doubled to Rs 4,832 crore. The stock has fallen 45 per cent in the past year, up to Thursday.
