GE Power India bags contract from NTPC

GE Power India on Wednesday announced that it has been awarded four orders by NTPC to supply and install Wet FGD systems for a combined value of ₹1,783 crore. The four power plant projects are: Solapur Super Thermal Power Project - 2x660 MW; Tanda Super Thermal Power Project Stage II - 2x660 MW; Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Project - 1x500 MW; and Meja Thermal Power Project - 2x660 MW. The stock of GE Power India gained 2.4 per cent at ₹828.40 on the BSE.
