HUL up 1.6% on BSE

With markets recovering by late session a clutch of shares posted gains on the BSE on Monday.

Hindustan Unilever traded firm to extend its morning gains by the close of trading. At 3.25 pm the share was trading at Rs 900.45, up 1.59 per cent on last week’s closing at Rs 886.40.

NTPC powered up 0.62 per cent at Rs 138.50 as against Rs 137.65 at close on Friday.

Larsen & Toubro climbed up 0.45 per cent at Rs 1,788 as against Rs 1,779.95 at close in the previous session.

ICICI Bank was up 0.43 per cent at Rs 312.60 against Rs 311.25 earlier.

Bajaj Auto edged up to hold gains of 0.31 per cent at Rs 2,548.10 against Rs 2,540.15 at close on Friday.

In contrast to the morning session when the Sensex lost over 500 points, it recovered over 400 points by the close. The Nifty also reclaimed the 8,300-mark, recovering over 100 points at close.
