Lacklustre listing for L&T Infotech

Shares of L&T Infotech, an infotech arm of construction major L&T, made a rather dull debut on the bourses on Thursday and ended nearly 2 per cent lower from its issue price of ₹710.

The stock, which got listed at ₹666.60 — down 6 per cent over the issue price — on the BSE, ended at ₹697.65, a loss of 1.73 per cent against the issue price.

At the NSE, shares of the company closed 1.74 per cent lower at ₹697.60, after listing at ₹667. While 22.42 lakh shares were traded on the BSE, a little over one crore shares changed hands on the NSE.

The initial public offering was subscribed close to 12 times and had attracted an overwhelming response of 10 lakh applications, the best in recent times, raising about ₹1,250 crore.
