Maruti races up 6% on NSE

Metal and auto sector stocks built on their early momentum by close on Tuesday. At 3.15 pm Hindalco Industries had consolidated its firm trend to hold gains of 6.70 per cent. It was quoting at ₹175.20 as against ₹164.20 at close on Monday.

Maruti Suzuki cruised to hold gains of 5.92 per cent at ₹2,583.70. It had finished the previous session at ₹2,439.35.

Tata Motors raced up 4.31 per cent at ₹449.90 as against Monday’s close at ₹431.30.

M&M also built up gains of 4.07 per cent to trade at ₹1,193.90. The stock ended yesterday’s session at ₹1,147.20.

Tata Steel was quoting at ₹541.20 as against its overnight close at ₹528.40, representing a gain of 2.42 per cent.
