The ONGC stock extended its firm tone into late trading on Wednesday. At 2.40 p.m. the oil company was quoting at Rs 301.80, up 2.03 per cent on its overnight close of Rs 295.80.
Maruti Suzuki also made further ground to quote at Rs 1,627.10. The stock had closed the previous session at Rs 1,598.30.
Hindalco Industries was quoting at Rs 115.75, up 1.76 per cent on its overnight close of Rs 113.75.
ICICI Bank traded up 1.72 per cent to quote at Rs 1,086.65 as against its previous close of Rs 1,068.30.
Tata Steel held gains of 1.55 per cent to quote at Rs 357.20. The stock had closed Tuesday’s session at Rs 351.75.
