SWREL secures ₹1,470 crore in domestic renewable energy projects

This expansion into Wind EPC positions SWREL to provide comprehensive solutions for hybrid projects

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has secured three new domestic renewable energy projects with a combined value of approximately ₹1,470 crore, the company announced today, April 1, 2025.

The shares of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) were trading at ₹266.05, up by ₹15.70 or 6.27 per cent on the NSE today at 2.40 pm.

The company marked its entry into Wind EPC with a hybrid project in Rajasthan from a private Independent Power Producer (IPP). The scope includes engineering, procurement, and construction of a 69.3 MW Wind Balance of Plant and 58 MW AC/75 MWp DC Solar BoS, along with a 132 kV/33 kV pooling substation.

SWREL has also achieved L1 status for a 200 MW AC/260 MWp DC turnkey solar project in Gujarat from a leading PSU developer. Additionally, the company received a letter of award for a PV plant in Rajasthan from a domestic IPP.

“We are very excited to bag three prestigious domestic projects including our foray into Wind EPC through a Hybrid project win which opens up a new exciting segment for us,” said Mr. Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO of SWREL.

The company has already established a market-leading presence in India in Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This expansion into Wind EPC positions SWREL to provide comprehensive solutions for hybrid projects.

SWREL is a global renewable EPC solutions provider with a portfolio exceeding 21.7 GWp of projects either commissioned or under construction. The company also manages operation and maintenance for 8.8 GWp of solar power projects across 28 countries.
