Tata Motors drives up 2.6% on BSE

Tata Motors sped up the BSE to emerge the top gainer on the bourse on Thursday morning. At 11 am it led the pack with gains of 2.57 per cent at Rs 506.70. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 494.

The markets resumed their uptrend today on positive global cues after recording heavy losses over the past two days. The Sensex jumped up over 260 points to recover the 27,000 level, while the Nifty gained over 80 points to stand above the 8,100 level in the session.

HDFC Bank rode up 2.17 per cent to quote at Rs 965.90. The scrip had closed the overnight session at Rs 945.35.

Coal India gained 1.97 per cent to trade at Rs 382.30 as against its previous close at Rs 374.90.

HDFC was trading at Rs 1,121 as against Rs 1,100.05 at close on Wednesday. This represented a gain of 1.90 per cent.

Hindustan Unilever, which has been on the uptrend recently, gained 1.80 per cent to trade at Rs 816.50 as against Rs 802.10 at close yesterday.
